CLW series / up to 5 t

Durable hoists of CLW series are designed to lift loads from 1000 kg to 5000 kg in a high duty cycle
production environment. The hoist body is manufactured from aluminium and steel only with no plastic
components.

Electric motor

• The 3000/4000/5000 hoists have a standard motorized fan allowing for better cooling and duty cycles count increase

Reduction gear
The reduction gear is designed in a way that speed of the hoist can be easily changed by increasing or decreasing the number of components in the gearbox. Gears are manufactured from hardened and heat treated high tensile steel in order to maximise length of their life. Using the proper oil the hoist can work within the temperatures from -20°C to +60°C.

Electromagnetic brake

The brake is machined as an aluminium die-cast allowing the good heat dissipation, the brake coil is fully immersed in epoxy resin. The brake disk is made of asbestos-free material.

High quality of electrical contacts and the 400 VDC brake allows Podemcrane to extend the warranty for the CLW series hoists to more than 240 operations per hour.

CLW series hoists are fitted with upper and lower electric limiting switches to prevent hook over-travel and to prevent the use of the clutch as an ultimate limiter (thus extending the life of the clutch and gearbox). Each limiting switch contains two microswitches operating on the auxiliary circuit of the hoist contacts cutting out operating contact in the direction of lift.

CLW series hoists feature also a slipping clutch set to 120% of the working load limit to prevent accidental overloading.
